Campaign: Why Sit it Out?

Objective: To encourage young people living with haemophilia to lead healthy and active lives.

Insight: Thanks to modern medicine, those living with haemophilia are living longer than ever before. However, they are also vulnerable to the same co-morbidities as the general population, such as cardiovascular issues, if they don't have a healthy lifestyle. Therefore we need to establish a passion for physical exercise in young people with haemophilia, as they would be more likely to have a healthier lifestyle into adulthood.

Idea: To challenge young people across the UK with haemophilia to overcome the barriers to physical activity and take part. To actively confront concerns around bleeding episodes or parental anxieties. So when it comes to pursuing a passion for sport and physical activity – why sit it out?
